It has been a few years now since Steve and Wendy Hicks became the proud owners of
Safari Diving SL, here in Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote, the dive
centre has been established for over 21 years.
After having visited the Island of Lanzarote many years ago
on diving holidays and deciding then, that Safari Diving SL was the best dive centre
here, located in the best area in Lanzarote, it became a dream come true when they actually bought the
dive centre and moved to Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote.
Before moving to Lanzarote, they returned many years bringing students and dive clubs
from the UK to teach diving and also pleasure diving for their
qualified divers, all of whom enjoyed the many delights that the
diving in Lanzarote has to offer. So may species to see the whole
year round.
The dive centre has the best location, as it is the only dive centre
in Lanzarote located directly on the beach - in a nice safe bay -so no long walks or bus rides to the dive sites in full kit!
The beach is also directly next to the jetty
for their boat to pick you up for the daily boat dives, for which
they do not charge any extra. They try to make everything as easy
and as affordable as possible at Safari Diving SL !!
This is an ideal beach for the family and
non-divers too, who can enjoy sunbathing, swimming and
snorkelling. There are also lots of shops, bars and restaurants
are
nearby.
Safari Diving SL has a professional and friendly team, who speak, English, Dutch, German and Spanish! The
dive team have remained here and dived here over many years and are very popular with returning and new
clients to our dive centre. They also have a fantastic knowledge
of the dive sites.
Steve and Wendy worked as the UK agents for Dea and
Rene, the previous owners of SAFARI DIVING SL, who started the business from scratch over 18 years
ago into the thriving business it is now. Many clients return year and after
year - have a read of the guest book on this web which has many
entries from our international clients. Rene, Dea and daughter
Lobke fondly remain part of the Safari Diving SL family!
Wendy continues to help clients book their
flights and accommodation through an ABTA approved agent - check
out the accom and flights page. They also have dutch and german
agents who can assist with flights and accommodation for clients
from those countries.
Steve and Wendy have continued to operate
SAFARI DIVING SL without any radical changes to this successful business.
They have introduced a few positive changes, such a social
evenings out with the clients and special monthly offers - which
will appear on these pages - any constructive suggestions are
always welcome.
